We offer patient transport for:
- Dialysis trips
- Wheelchair transport
- Doctor visits
- Senior transport
- Trips for chemotherapy and radiotherapy
- Trips to hospital or rehab
- Trips to nursing homes or day care
Billing with all health insurers or private payment possible.
For patient trips you need a medical prescription for patient transport (also called "Taxischein" or "Transportschein").
Important: outpatient trips often have to be approved by the health insurer before the trip — for example, single doctor visits or regular trips to therapy.
Costs are covered without prior approval for:
- Inpatient admissions and discharges
- Pre- and post-inpatient treatment
- Trips from hospital to a rehab facility
- Emergencies
Patient trips also require approval if you:
- have a severely-disabled ID with the marking "aG" (extraordinary walking impairment), "Bl" (blindness) or "H" (helplessness)
- have care level 3 plus a permanent mobility impairment
- have care level 4 or 5
- were classified at care stage 2 by 31.12.2016 and were transferred to at least care level 3 on 01.01.2017
If you are exempt from the co-payment, you do not need to pay anything yourself.
If you are not exempt, you must pay 10% of the travel costs yourself — at least €5 and at most €10 per trip.
